Tips on How to Make Donations to St. Theresa’s Church

 

Option 1: e-Transfer for the Sunday, My Extra Help or Other Offering

You can use the Interac e-transfer feature from your online or mobile bank account to email a donation.

How to e-Transfer
The first step is to setup the Parish email address as a payee. Each bank has its own procedure for setting up a payee. Generally it can be found in the section where payments or transfers are made.  Look for something like “Add Recipient”.

 

You will be asked for:

  • the recipient’s name: St Francis and St Clare of Assisi Parish and
  • the recipient’s email address: office@stfrancisandstclareparish.ca

 

No security question is needed because when you send the donation, it will be automatically deposited and the parish office will be notified.

It is important to use the message feature of the Interac transfer and specify the following so that your offering is properly recorded for tax receipt purposes:

  • your name
  • your Envelope Box Number, if you have one
  • St. Theresa’s Church as the Church through which you are donating and
  • the purpose of the donation: Sunday Offering, My Extra Help or Other purpose

 
Option 2: PAPP for the Sunday Offering, My Extra Help or Other Offering

Another important option is the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan at St. Theresa’s (PAPP) which is already used by Parishioners at St. Theresa’s.

How to Register for the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan
For those who have not yet registered for PAPP, it is very easy to register. When you register you can select the various collections to which you wish to contribute. Besides the Sunday Offering, you may also contribute to the monthly My Extra Help Collection as well as other Special Collections like the Half-Yearly Collection. 


Just click on the "PAPP - Pre-Authorized Payment Plan" option in the red menu on the left-hand side of this page to read the brochure.  . Everything you need to know is described in the brochure. If you are interested in registering:
 

  • print page one of the brochure and fill it out,
  • scan it and
  • send it as an attachment by email or mail it to the Parish Office.


Once you are registered, everything happens automatically. Remember you can make changes or cancel PAPP whenever you need to.
 
Option 3: Cheque for the Sunday Offering, My Extra Help or Other Offering

Another important option is writing a cheque.  A paper cheque is just as effective in making a donation as the use of digital technology.

All you have to do is:

  • fill in the cheque and
  • send it to the Parish Office specifying for tax receipt purposes:

                -your Envelope Box Number, if you have one

                -St. Theresa’s Church as the Church through which you are donating and
             
  - the purpose of the donation: Sunday Offering, My Extra Help or Other purpose

An offering of any amount is a blessing for the whole Community which improves our spiritual and financial strength and security for today and in the future when we are together again.
